New Addition Dedicated Last Month
Oshkosh, WI, July 25, 2016….Quest Aircraft Company recently completed Phase I of its facility expansion. The new building addition was officially dedicated in a ceremony held at the company’s headquarters in June.
In fall 2015, Quest began the initial construction of an expansion at its Sandpoint, ID headquarters, which when complete will nearly double the Kodiak production facility. The completed Phase I addition added 27,000 square feet of space, bringing the current building to 110,000 square feet.
Quest's long term corporate strategy is focused on global development and growth. The company last increased the size of its facility in 2005, when it expanded to 84,000 square feet. Since receiving FAA Type Certification in 2007, Quest has seen continued growth in the global marketplace.
“As worldwide demand for the Kodiak increases, our production capacity needs to expand,” said Sam Hill, Quest President and Chief Executive Officer. “Over the last few years, we have been steadily ramping up production of the Kodiak, and this expansion will ensure that we efficiently meet market demand.”
The new addition was dedicated to the memory of Dave Clark, a Quest employee and key member of the expansion team. A plaque honoring his memory is mounted on the wall of the new addition.
Kodiaks are in operation around the globe. Key market segments include personal use, business/corporate use, Part 135 operations, government and humanitarian organizations. The KODIAK has received 22 certifications covering 32 countries, with several additional certifications imminent.
Quest Aircraft Company is the manufacturer of the Kodiak, a 10-place single engine turboprop airplane, designed for STOL use and float capability.
