KODIAK Air Claw™ On Display at Airborne Law Enforcement Convention

Special Mission Demonstrator Showcases Unique Capabilities

July 11, 2012, Sandpoint, ID….Quest Aircraft Company is pleased to announce that the Air Claw™ special mission demonstrator based on the KODIAK airframe will be on display at the Northrop Grumman booth (#750) at the Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA) Convention, July 11-15 in Reno, Nevada. Earlier this year, Quest and Northrop Grumman entered into a Teaming Agreement to develop the special mission aircraft.

“Quest is very excited to more actively pursue the special mission aircraft market, especially teamed with such a proven entity as Northrop Grumman,” said Steve Zinda, Quest’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “We see a lot of potential for the Air Claw™ with a variety of market segments including law enforcement, aerial intelligence and observation, aero-medical, and search and rescue. As a company, we are very pleased to be at ALEA with Northrop Grumman and debut the Air Claw™ to this key market.”

The KODIAK’s rugged aluminum construction combines superior STOL performance and high useful load. It offers proven turbine reliability with the Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine engine, has the ability to land and take off from unimproved surfaces and is capable of working off floats without structural upgrades. The KODIAK can take off in under 1,000 feet at full gross takeoff weight of 7,255 lbs and climb at over 1,300 feet per minute. With 248 cubic feet of cargo volume, there is ample room for equipment or cargo.

KODIAKs are in service with charter operators, small businesses, personal owners, skydiving operations, U.S. and international governments, and humanitarian organizations. Several KODIAKs on floats have been delivered, including nine float-equipped KODIAKs to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Quest Aircraft Company is the manufacturer of the KODIAK, a 10-place single engine turboprop utility airplane, designed for STOL use and float capability. Headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho, the company was established in 2001 and began deliveries of the KODIAK in December 2007. For more information, please visit www.questaircraft.com.
