Latin American Tour Underway for KODIAK

September 1, 2012….Quest Aircraft Company, manufacturer of the KODIAK, is pleased to announce that Ryan Aircraft, a KODIAK dealer, has embarked on a demonstration tour through several countries in South America. The tour complements Quest’s first appearance at the LABACE Convention in Sao Paulo, Brazil last month.

“We are excited to be demonstrating this one-of-a-kind utility airplane to a variety of potential customers in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru,” said Eric Magennis, Managing Director of Ryan Aircraft. “The speed and performance capabilities, coupled with its low operational costs, make the KODIAK a great airplane for operators in this part of the world.”

“We have been very pleased with the interest the KODIAK has received on previous tours in Brazil and other parts of Latin America,” said Steve Zinda, Quest’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “On this tour, Ryan Aircraft will be debuting the KODIAK to more potential customers in a broader range of countries.”

The KODIAK’s rugged aluminum construction combines superior STOL performance and high useful load. It offers proven turbine reliability with the Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine engine, has the ability to land and take off from unimproved surfaces and is capable of working off floats without structural upgrades. The KODIAK can take off in under 1,000 feet at full gross takeoff weight of 7,255 lbs and climb at over 1,300 feet per minute. A 3-panel Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite including Synthetic Vision Technology is standard equipment on the KODIAK.

Upcoming stops on Ryan Aircraft’s KODIAK tour include the Airshow in Bogota, Colombia on September 8, and then the Colombian cities of Barranquilla, Cali and Medellin. The tour will stop at the capital cities of Quito, Ecuador, Lima, Peru and Caracas, Venezuela as well as Ciudad Bolivar, Barcelona and Maracaibo to highlight just a few. KODIAKs are in service around the world with charter operators, small businesses, personal owners, U.S. and international governments, and humanitarian organizations. The KODIAK can be equipped with a variety of options including an External Cargo Compartment, a Certified Flight Into Known Ice (FIKI) TKS ice protection system, air-conditioning, and even a Jump Package.
