Quest Aircraft Hosts Successful “Discover Aviation” Event

Special Event Held in Conjunction with Annual Women of Aviation Worldwide Week

March 11, 2014, Sandpoint, ID….Quest Aircraft Company hosted its first-ever “ Discover Aviation ” open house event on March 8 at its headquarters facility in Sandpoint. The two-hour event, which was held in conjunction with the fourth annual Women of Aviation Worldwide Week, was developed to introduce women to the varied career opportunities that the aviation industry offers. Both women and men were invited to attend the event, and more than 200 people took the opportunity to tour the Quest production facility and learn about various jobs and career paths available in the aviation industry.

The event was held from 2:00-4:00 pm and included a tour of the KODIAK production facility, an overview of the aviation industry and the types of careers that are typical, and riveting demonstrations. Employees shared with the attendees how they got into aviation, what their current job entails, and what they like most about the type of work they perform at Quest. There was also a variety of gifts and door prizes for the attendees.

“Most of those attending the open house were from the surrounding area, but we did have several individuals from Washington and California,” said Jason Eddy, Vice President of Engineering and Production. “We are very pleased with the enthusiastic response we had for this event, and everyone involved enjoyed sharing their background and their job function at Quest.”
