Wednesday, March 30, 2011...Integrity, honesty, professionalism, compassion, respect, accountability…these are the core values of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). They are also core values here at Quest. And, we now share another thing in common.
Under the headline "VISION" on the RCMP’s official web page they listed, "demonstrate leadership in the pursuit of excellence." Guess who just picked up keys to a brand new KODIAK.
On March 29th the RCMP took delivery of their first KODIAK, and the fit goes well beyond ideology. The RCMP needed a certified aircraft with a standard cargo door as well as a roll-up “jump door”, so they can drop supplies and equipment for both routine missions and critical rescue operations. They needed an aircraft with short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities; the ability to take floats without structural modifications; turbine power and reliability; and glass-cockpit avionics with state-of-the-art weather and navigation. They needed a modern, rugged, reliable piece of equipment that could provide comfortable safety margins in uncomfortable situations. The RCMP, the acclaimed national police service of Canada, needed a KODIAK. And now they have one.
