Quest Displays New Summit Executive Interior

New Interior Further Enhances KODIAK’s Versatility

April 1, 2014, Lakeland, FL….Quest Aircraft Company is proud to display a KODIAK with the new Summit Executive interior at the annual Sun n’ Fun Expo. The top-of-the-line interior features club seating with a recline function, folding tables, forward cabinets, enhanced soundproofing and other amenities. The Summit, which is expected to be fully certified during the second quarter, is a derivative of the Timberline interior.

Last year, Quest enhanced both the Timberline and Tundra interiors. The changes included refining the headliner to give the cabin a more open feel and replacing the Kydex panels with composite panels, contributing to a weight reduction and improving the useful load. Several other new amenities, which are incorporated in the Summit, were added to the Timberline, including storage pockets in the sidewall beside each chair and cupholders, both in the cabin and the cockpit. The cockpit chairs in all three interiors feature an improved headrest and center pedestal closeouts have been added.

“The Summit broadens the range of interior choices available to customers,” said Sam Hill, President and CEO of Quest. “Whether they want a rugged workhorse or a comfortable passenger transport for business or personal use, the KODIAK is the right aircraft for their mission.”

All three interiors are available in a warm beige and cool gray color scheme. The KODIAK on display at Sun ‘n Fun features the gray interior and shows the aircraft in a five-place cabin configuration. The Summit will be available on new KODIAKs coming off the production line following certification and can also be installed in existing KODIAKs with minor modifications.

“We are excited to have the Summit interior installed in the KODIAK and available for visitors to our booth at Sun ‘n Fun to experience,” said Steve Zinda, Vice President, Sales and Marketing. “We have had a lot of interest from the marketplace in a true executive interior for the aircraft, and are pleased to now have this as an additional option for customers to consider.”

The KODIAK embodies rugged reliability. It has the ability to land and take off from unimproved surfaces and is capable of working off floats without structural upgrades. The KODIAK can take off in under 1,000 feet at full gross takeoff weight of 7,255 lbs. and climb at over 1,300 feet per minute. A 3-panel Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite including Synthetic Vision Technology is standard equipment on the KODIAK.

Quest Aircraft Company is the manufacturer of the KODIAK, a 10-place single engine turboprop airplane, designed for STOL use and float capability. Headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho, the company was established in 2001 and began deliveries of the KODIAK in December 2007. For more information, please visit www.questaircraft.com.
