Quest Proud to Support Gathering of Eagles EAA Live Auction

Sandpoint, ID, August 6, 2012…..Quest Aircraft Company is proud to have participated in this year’s Gathering of Eagles event at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI. Each year, the Gathering of Eagles fundraiser features a silent and live auction where event guests can bid on all sorts of exciting trips, high quality merchandise, airplane rides, and a one-of-a-kind aviation-themed Ford automobile. The funds raised go toward EAA’s youth education, historic preservation, and inspirational endeavors that help young people gain access to the resources and encouragement to change the world.

Quest donated a back country fly-in adventure aboard the KODIAK, including a Salmon River raft trip. The four person trip features a KODIAK flight into Allison Ranch deep in the wilderness of Central Idaho. After a night’s lodging at this serene back country locale, the group will launch down the Salmon River—known as the River of No Return—for 3 days and nights of spectacular river rafting. Quest is very pleased to share that the trip donation raised $34,000 for the Young Eagles fund!  (See the promotional video)

The EAA Young Eagles program was launched in 1992 to give interested young people, ages 8 – 17 an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers. Since 1992, more than 1.6 million Young Eagles have enjoyed a flight through the program. Young Eagles have been registered in more than 90 different countries and have been flown by more than 42,000 volunteer pilots.
