Quest Unveils New KODIAK Interiors
Summit Interior Will Join Enhanced Tundra and Timberline Cabins
July 23, 2012, Oshkosh, WI….Quest Aircraft Company, (EAA Booth #263-264) is pleased to announce new Tundra and Timberline interiors for the KODIAK aircraft. The interiors will be available on 2013 models. A KODIAK featuring the new Timberline interior is on display at the Quest booth. Development work has also progressed on the Summit executive interior, which will be available in mid-2013. A cabin mockup of the Summit is on display as well.
“We are very pleased to show the refinements and enhancements to the KODIAK interiors here at EAA,” said Steve Zinda, Director, Sales and Marketing. “In addition to the new features that customers will appreciate, the new interiors were also designed taking into consideration ease of manufacturing and maintenance.
“We have replaced the current Kydex panels with composite panels, which will contribute to a weight reduction and should improve the useful load. We have also refined the headliner and enhanced the soundproofing,” Zinda continued. “New amenities for the Timberline include storage pockets to the sidewall beside each chair and cupholders, both in the cabin and the cockpit. We have also restyled the cockpit chairs in both interiors to include an improved headrest and have added center pedestal closeouts.”
Customers will be able to select from two different color variants in the Tundra and Timberline. Both new interiors can be installed in existing KODIAKs with minor modifications.
“These refinements enhance the KODIAK experience and also give customers greater flexibility in choosing the interior that is right for them,” added Zinda. “With the coming availability of the Summit interior, there is truly a KODIAK for every mission.”
