100th KODIAK on Display at NBAA

Special Delivery Ceremony Took Place September 19

October 22, 2013, Las Vegas, NV….Quest Aircraft Company is pleased to showcase the 100th KODIAK at the 2013 National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA) Convention. The 100th KODIAK is owned by Sunstate Aviation, Phoenix, Arizona, and was flown by them to Las Vegas to be part of the static display located inside the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“We are very pleased to share this milestone with the business aviation community here at NBAA, and appreciate the new owner providing us with the aircraft,” said Sam Hill, President and CEO. “We are proud to say that we now have over 100 KODIAKs in service around the world, performing all types of operations.”

Quest received FAA certification in May 2007, just two months after the first fully-conforming production aircraft made its initial flight. Today, the KODIAK is certified in 13 countries, with additional certifications in process. KODIAKs are in service around the globe with charter operators, small businesses, personal owners, U.S. and international governments, and humanitarian organizations. Sunstate Aviation’s KODIAK, which is outfitted with the Timberline interior, has been in service since September.

The KODIAK’s rugged aluminum construction combines superior STOL performance and high useful load. It offers proven turbine reliability with the Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine engine, has the ability to land and take off from unimproved surfaces and is capable of working off floats without structural upgrades. The KODIAK can take off in under 1,000 feet at full gross takeoff weight of 7,255 lbs. and climb at over 1,300 feet per minute. A 3-panel Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite including Synthetic Vision Technology is standard equipment on the KODIAK.

Quest Aircraft Company is the manufacturer of the KODIAK, a 10-place single engine turboprop utility airplane, designed for STOL use and float capability. Headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho, the company was established in 2001 and began deliveries of the KODIAK in December 2007. In September, the 100th KODIAK was delivered.
