First KODIAK Delivered to Brazil

Quest Aircraft Do Brasil Named Authorized KODIAK Dealer

February 11, 2014, Sandpoint, ID….Quest Aircraft Company is pleased to announce that it has appointed Quest Aircraft Do Brasil as the KODIAK dealer for Brazil. The first Brazilian KODIAK was delivered to them last week and the aircraft is currently on a demonstration tour to prospective customers.

“We are pleased to welcome Quest Aircraft Do Brasil as our newest dealer for the KODIAK,” said Steve Zinda, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our strategic expansion has focused on partnering with premier local organizations to represent Quest in the international marketplace. We continue to focus on regions of the world where the KODIAK is certified or pending certification, along with those areas that offer the most market potential.” The KODIAK, which received Brazilian certification in 2012, is certified in 16 countries, with several additional certifications imminent.

Quest Aircraft Do Brasil is based in São José do Campos, and has sales responsibilities for the country of Brazil. The KODIAK has made several tours throughout Brazil and the company is enthusiastic about its sales prospects for the KODIAK.

“We are seeing a lot of market potential for the KODIAK throughout Latin America,” added Zinda. “In the last two months, we have delivered five KODIAKs to customers in Latin America, with additional deliveries expected this year.”

The versatility of the aircraft makes it perfect for a wide-range of applications, and its efficiency and low direct operating costs make the aircraft very attractive for operators. The aircraft’s ruggedness, along with its performance and STOL capabilities are especially well-suited to many regions in Latin America.

The KODIAK’s rugged aluminum construction combines superior STOL performance and high useful load. It offers proven turbine reliability with the Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine engine, has the ability to land and take off from unimproved surfaces and is capable of working off floats without structural upgrades. The KODIAK can take off in under 1,000 feet at full gross takeoff weight of 7,255 lbs and climb at over 1,300 feet per minute. A 3-panel Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite including Synthetic Vision Technology is standard equipment on the KODIAK.

Quest Aircraft Company, headquartered in Sandpoint, Idaho, is the manufacturer of the KODIAK, a 10-place single engine turboprop airplane, designed for STOL use and float capability. Since beginning customer deliveries in late 2007, the KODIAK has been deployed around the world in a variety of applications. KODIAKs are in service with charter operators, small businesses, personal owners, U.S. and international governments, and humanitarian organizations.
