Garmin 1000 selected for the KODIAK

Avionics Suite Offers Advanced Technology for Pilot-Ease

October 10, 2005, Sandpoint, ID...Quest Aircraft announced today that it has selected the Garmin 1000 integrated avionics suite as standard equipment for its KODIAK aircraft.

The Garmin G1000 integrates all primary flight, navigation, communication, terrain, traffic, weather, engine instrumentation, and crew-alerting system data and presents the composite information in brilliant, sunlight-readable color on three high-definition displays. The KODIAK's flight deck will feature a three-panel G1000 system with two primary flight displays (PFDs) flanking a centrally located multi-function display (MFD).

“The G1000 is a revolutionary avionics suite that will offer our customers the latest technology, incorporating all flight-critical data at the pilot's fingertips,” said Paul Schaller, Quest's Chief Executive Officer. “The superior reliability and enhanced flight safety the G1000 brings to the KODIAK platform is in keeping with the flight characteristics inherent in the design of the aircraft.”

“We're proud to have been selected as the avionics supplier for the KODIAK,” said Gary Kelley, Garmin's Vice President, Marketing. “The aircraft combines rugged reliability with operational versatility. The G1000 system is perfectly suited for the KODIAK.”

“With the selection of Garmin as our avionics supplier, we have added another high-quality vendor to our team,” added Schaller. “The KODIAK is powered by the proven Pratt & Whitney PT6A-34 engine and Hartzell manufacturers our propeller, to mention but a few of our equipment providers."

The KODIAK has logged over 250 hours toward FAA certification and is on track for certification in early 2006, with customer deliveries immediately following. Base price for the KODIAK is $1,111,000.
